Mom Tri’s Boathouse, Phuket, Thailand is proud to announce the appointment of Thailand’s only Maître Cuisinier de France, Chef Jean-Noël Lumineau, as the Boathouse Wine & Grill’s Executive Chef.
A multiple award-winning restaurant with a magnificent wine cellar and spectacular seafront view the Boathouse Wine & Grill has been honoured with Wine Spectator awards since 1995. This August yet again, the Boathouse was distinguished with the even more prestigious Wine Spectator ‘Best of Awards of Excellence’, as the only establishment in Thailand for the fifth consecutive year.
Chef Lumineau earned his distinction as Maitre Cuisinier de France, an elite group of the most famous chefs in the world with about 700 members worldwide, more than 14 years ago. For over 25 years Chef Lumineau was renowned as Executive Chef at the Gault-Millau and Michelin-star rated Chateau- Hotel Le Prieure in the Loire Valley in Anjou, France.
He was executive consultant at all four of Mom Tri’s restaurants for the past two years prior to his recent appointment as executive chef for the Boathouse Wine & Grill exclusively. Chef Lumineau is dedicated to continuing with the Boathouses reputation for the finest food and wine and developing new, creative recipes.
The popular Boathouse weekend cooking classes will be held as usual from 10:00 – 14:00 hrs with Chef Rattana Pholtaisong, Boathouse sous-chef. Chef Rattana has been working at the Boathouse since 1990 and has been a regular assistant to Chef Tummanoon, Boathouse former Executive Chef, in the kitchen and classroom.
