Robin Gillow’s Contemplative Oils at Boathouse Phuket

Robin Gillow’s Contemplative Oils at Boathouse Phuket

On Saturday 1st December 2012 Boathouse Phuket held the launch reception of a month-long exhibition of oil paintings of the rural Thai landscape by renowned Australian artist Robin Gillow.

The exhibition, entitled “Contemplation” presents Robin Gillow’s quiet meditations on Thai traditional rural life particularly its less populated corners and the local inhabitants who make their lives there.

Here what some of the guests had to say about the launch:

It’s been a great evening tonight and the artwork on display in beautiful. You can really understand where the artist is coming from which is good.

I’m rather biased because I’m the artists’ husband, but I think it’s really great.

Cindy (left) – This is the first time I’ve had the chance to see an exhibition by this artist and I have to say the works are very good. It’s been a really nice event.
Lillian – I absolutely love this artwork and I have already purchased two pieces because I love robin’s artwork so much. This is the second time I have seen her exhibitions and I’m happy that I’ve had an opportunity to see her new work.
