On May 4th 2014, Mom Tri’s Villa Royale were privileged to welcome award winning author, chef and restaurateur Su-Mei Yu to their award winning Mom Tri’s kitchen restaurant where she hosted aver special Key to Thai Food Treasure Box event.
During the event Su-Mei Yu outlined the basics of her culinary philosophy and the ancient Thai methods of using food to create inner balance. She explained the health benefits of Thai ingredients such as how the fruit pomelo can be used to clear the chest and pairs well with coconut, which strengthens the bones, and chilies, which aid circulation. She also described how all traditional Thai cuisine are designed to create a balance within the body between all four essential elements—earth, water, wind, and fire.
The finale to this fantastic event was a special set lunch which Su-Mei Yu had prepared for the guests.
