Czeschka Appointed to Cook a ‘Feast’ at Outrigger Laguna Resort and Villas, Phuket

Robert CzeschkaRobert Czeschka has been appointed Executive Chef at the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas in Thailand, effective 16 May.

Czeschka, an Austrian national, will be responsible for all the resort’s outlets including the new Feast restaurant, which opens in July, Bites all-day poolside dining, in-villa dining, and special events at Outrigger Laguna Resort and Villas.

Czeschka brings 26 years’ experience to Outrigger from Shangri-La, Hilton, Marriott, Starwood and the Michelin star Palais Schwarzenberg in Austria. For 16 years as an Executive Chef Czeschka has led kitchen operations in Germany, Egypt, Malaysia, Thailand, Malaysia and , China, and most recently at the luxury Nam Hai Resort in Hoi An, Vietnam.

“I am excited to be at Outrigger in Phuket because our concept at the new Feast restaurant is to present modern cuisine with innovative healthy options,” said Czeschka. “We will have an intriguing choice of mouth-watering dishes for diners who want pan-Asian, international and Thai cuisine. We won’t forget signature comfort dishes either.”

Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas General Manager, Darren Shaw, said that the property would open 19 new luxury suites in July to complement the 68 villas that are already open and doing well.

“Feast will become our signature dining outlet,” said Shaw. “When it opens we expect to attract more diners from outside the property. Robert’s culinary creativity and experience will help define Feast and Bites as high quality, innovative and desirable dining experiences in the Laguna Phuket Destination Resort.”
