One dining option quickly growing in popularity with a number of resorts and their guests around the island is line buffets and having seen their elaborate lunch buffet becoming more and more popular with guests, Joerg Delin, Director of Food & Beverage at JW Marriott Resort & Spa Phuket, has made the decision to introduce a new dinner buffet to their Marriott Café outlet, the biggest & longest International Buffet to be found in the Mai Khao area.
The luxurious New Buffet at Marriott Café is sure to delight everybody’s taste buds. The buffet features a number of live cooking stations, roasted meats and seafood (oysters, crab, shrimp, clams, mussels) plus international cheeses, cold cuts, pasta, salads and breads plus an Asian cuisine that rotates daily Thai, Malay, Indian, Japanese, Chinese plus a knockout dessert station – there really is something for everyone, and Kids Eat Free up to 6 years old, and at 50% of the regular price for those up to 12 years. The Buffet runs 7 nights a week and really helps to take the headache out of family mealtimes.
As the New Buffet has a number of “live” stations many dishes are available made to order, Pasta is cooked a la menu, lamb chops on the char grill to order, and the ever popular Tandoor oven is there for tikka style meats and Indian breads. And one cannot forget the Chocolate fountain for dessert, kids absolutely love it!
Should diners to the New Buffet at Marriott Café wish to speak with the chef and modify some of the dishes to their own taste the knowledgeable and helpful Chefs are always on standby to ensure all guests’ tastes are catered for, and if they can help, you can be sure they will.
When it comes to the produce and ingredients used for the buffet JW Marriott Resort & Spa make every effort is taken to find ingredients from local and sustainable sources. Obviously this can be difficult with some products such as cheeses and some meats but in essence the buffet is a very local affair which reflects Marriott’s “Spirit to Preserve” commitment to respecting the communities in which their Hotels operate, something of which the group are extremely proud.
And for any of you that may be slightly dubious to try out this fantastic buffet because you have special dietary requirements (nut allergy, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance etc) JW Marriott are used to looking after the dietary needs of many different guests from a number of different cultures, so they are prepared for most requests and if need be their Chefs can create something to exceed all expectations on the night or guide you through the dishes on offer so that guests can dine with peace of mind.
Even if you have been to buffets before, it can be intimidating to get your head around the idea that you actually could eat anything and everything you see around you… and even ask for more. Of course nobody does, but technically that’s the concept of the New Buffet at JW Marriott Resort & Spa’s Marriot Café, as much as you can eat for 1,300++ Baht.
