Baan Talay Restaurant
This contemporary Thai restaurant is the perfect venue for families and groups seeking authentic Thai flavours and ambience in a serene setting. Situated just steps away from the white sands of Bang Tao Bay overlooking a large lagoon, Baan Talay offers a modern take on Thai-style dining, with an arched Northern Thai style ceiling and intricate carved wooden wall panels, plus two private rooms. Al fresco dining on the spacious terrace is also available. Inside Baan Talay’s elegant dining room, watch the mysteries of Thai cooking revealed in the open kitchen as the chefs prepare their aromatic dishes. The restaurant serves light fare and fresh, flavoursome dishes in a shaded setting amidst lush tropical gardens and tall coconut trees. Poolside’s East-meets-West menu was designed by Executive Sous Chef Yi-Fan Chu, who brings a unique set of culinary experiences having been being born in Taiwan and raised in America. Among Poolside’s tasty selections are salads including ‘Mouth Liking’ Peppery Tuna Salad and Scallops and Tuna Ceviche, crowd-pleasing Thai appetizers including satay and spring rolls, and a range of sandwiches, pastas, pizza and desserts. This is a tasty twist on an American favourite, featuring a thick, juicy burger topped with blue cheese, avocado, honey-smoked bacon and white truffle, with a specially-made ketchup of cranberry and raspberry served on the side. Chef Yi-Fan says that from his days of living in Los Angeles, he now sees burgers as an essential part of a beach lifestyle.

Devassy, he has fashioned the Market Place into a rich and varied showcase of tastes that give a happy, hearty welcome to the day.
